Helping children and the adults around them understand AI.
Parents in AI was founded in Gateshead in 2024. We design practical AI safety and literacy sessions for primary schools, families and the organisations that support them.
Why we exist
Children are growing up with AI in their pockets: chatbots that feel like friends, images that look real but aren't, and homework helpers that never say no.
Most adults around them haven't had the chance to catch up. We close that gap with clear, calm, practical sessions, so children know how to stay safe and the adults know how to help.
What we stand for
Safeguarding first
Every session is designed around children's safety and your school's policies.
Plain English
No jargon, no tech showing off. If a parent leaves confused, we haven't done our job.
No judgement
Nobody is behind. We meet every family and every staff room where they are.
Rooted locally
Built in Gateshead for North East communities, and available online across the UK.
Teacher-led, evidence-informed
Our sessions are designed and delivered by a qualified teacher with a PGCE and a Master's in Education from Durham University, and years of experience teaching in North East schools and supporting adults in community education.
Content is mapped to Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026 and reviewed whenever guidance changes.
