Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026 came into force on 1 September 2026 for schools in England. It names generative AI, including chatbots that simulate human interaction, as a contact risk, and it covers AI-generated images and deepfakes.
Ofcom's latest research shows over half of children aged 8 to 17 already use AI, and that smartphone ownership jumps from 56% at age 10 to 83% at age 11. The last years of primary school are the moment to teach children how AI works, and who to tell when something feels wrong.

A member of your staff stays with the children throughout. We never work alone with pupils.
If a child says something that worries us, we tell your DSL straight away and follow your safeguarding policy. We never promise children confidentiality.
We don't collect pupils' names or personal data, and we never photograph or record pupils. Pupils aren't asked to use, or type into, any AI tool.
We send the slides in advance so your DSL or headteacher can review and approve the content.
KS1 is short and playful, KS2 goes deeper. Nothing graphic or frightening, and we never show harmful content.
We're running a small number of free pilot assemblies in exchange for your honest feedback. They meet exactly the same safeguarding standards as paid sessions. If it's useful, we'd love a short written testimonial afterwards.

No. Ofsted doesn't approve or accredit training providers, and there is no separate AI inspection area. Safeguarding is judged as a whole, so our sessions are mapped to KCSIE 2026, the guidance schools are held to.
Our content is mapped to English guidance, KCSIE 2026. We're happy to talk through how it fits schools in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, which have their own guidance.
Pupil assemblies are in person. Staff, DSL and parent sessions can be in person or online. We shape them around your timetable.
