Safeguarding and standards
Everything a headteacher, DSL or commissioner should know about how we work, in one place.
Our safeguarding commitments
Never alone with children
A member of school or setting staff stays with pupils throughout every session.
Concerns go to the DSL, straight away
If a child discloses or says something worrying, we pass it to your Designated Safeguarding Lead the same day and follow your procedures. We never promise children confidentiality.
Content approved in advance
Slides and activities are shared before the session for your DSL or head to review.
No harmful content shown
We explain risks like deepfakes without showing harmful, explicit or frightening material to anyone, adults included.
Pupils don't use AI tools
Pupils are never asked to sign up to, use or type into an AI tool during our sessions.
No photos or recordings of pupils
We never photograph, film or record pupils, and we don't take pupil names.
Checks and qualifications
Enhanced DBS
Enhanced DBS check, registered with the DBS Update Service so you can check its status online. Details available on request before any visit.
Qualified teacher
Sessions are designed and delivered by a qualified teacher (QTS) with a PGCE and a Master's in Education from Durham University.
Guidance we follow
Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026 and DfE guidance on generative AI in education. Content is reviewed when guidance changes.
Your policies come first
We work within your safeguarding, online safety and visitor policies. Our sessions support your safeguarding work but don't replace it.
Data protection
We only collect the details organisations give us to arrange and invoice sessions, such as a contact name and work email. We don't collect personal data about pupils.
Optional feedback surveys are anonymous. We never sell or share your details. Read our privacy policy.
Concerns and complaints
If you have a concern about any part of our work, email hello@joinparentsinai.com. We'll acknowledge it within two working days. Safeguarding concerns about a child should always go to the school's DSL or, if a child is in immediate danger, to the police on 999.
Need something for your visitor checks?
We're happy to send DBS details, our safeguarding policy and session plans before any booking.
